Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Flight Maps application for iPhone and iPad (“the app”), operated by Flight Maps LLC (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to the extent it does not conflict with these Terms.

Subscription, free trial & billing

• Flight Maps requires an auto-renewing subscription: $8.99 per month or $59.99 per year (prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before purchase).
• New subscribers receive a 1-month free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple account is charged. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and applies once per account.
• Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription any time in iOS Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Not a navigation or safety instrument

Flight Maps is a flight recorder and logbook for recreational use. It is not certified for navigation, air traffic avoidance, weather decision-making, or any safety-of-flight purpose. GPS positions, altitudes, speeds, airspace boundaries and weather information shown in the app may be inaccurate, delayed or incomplete. Always rely on certified instruments, official briefings and applicable regulations. You are solely responsible for the lawful and safe operation of your aircraft.

Acceptable use

• Use the app only where and as permitted by law, including aviation regulations and device-use rules in your jurisdiction.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its services.
• Beacon live sharing is opt-in; only share codes with people you want following your flight.

Your content

Your flight recordings, notes and waypoints remain yours. They are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flight Maps LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to the app or these Terms

We may update the app and these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated. Sections that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations of liability) survive termination.
